Exceptionally delicious. Aunt Nellie’s Sweet & Sour Harvard Beets have been beloved long before the recent roasted root vegetable, beet juice, beetroot juice, beetroot, superbeet, beetroot powder, beet powder (beet everything!) and vinegar beverage crazes! We have always thought our Harvard beets were a super food – just try them in a salad with goat cheese and a balsamic vinaigrette! That is Super! Seriously, Aunt Nellie’s Sweet & Sour Harvard Beets bring the perfect balance of tangy-sweet earthy deliciousness and vibrant crimson red-purple addition to a salad, side-dish or favorite recipe. Enjoy!
Natural goodness. Aunt Nellie’s Sweet & Sour Harvard Beets are made with anti-oxidant rich, fresh-harvested beet root with their characteristically sweet earthy flavor and a deep vibrant ruby red-purple color. Farm-to-Table. Aunt Nellie’s Sliced Pickled Beets are cultivated in the U.S. heartland by multi-generational, U.S. farmers on family-owned farms located primarily in the fertile regions of Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin or Upstate New York. This is the prime growing region for beets with its fertile soil and ideal combination of sun and rain fall. Once harvested our beets travel just miles to our processing facilities. There, our beets are prepared in state-of-the art, FDA inspected facilities sealing in Farm Fresh Goodness! Part of a Healthy lifestyle.
Seasonally grown and harvested fresh at the peak of ripeness and prepared just miles from where they are grown. We prepare our beets so you can enjoy Farm Fresh Goodness at its very best! “Seasonally grown” means that every year, typically in late April, we plant our beets and then let them grow and mature until August when the harvest begins. In a typical year all of our beets are harvested before Thanksgiving.
